Hanover School District contacted CORE Design Group to conduct a feasibility study to evaluate the condition of several elementary schools. After completing the study, our team proposed a 15,538-SF addition and alterations to the existing Hanover Street Elementary School.
Updates included administrative, multi-purpose, and classroom additions, as well as renovations, which included new HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electric service, fire protection system, and interior finishes. The entire building was also fully sprinklered. The administrative addition is a one-story building with an administrative area and health room.
The multi-purpose addition is a one-story building with a stage, multi-purpose room, and food service area.
The classroom addition is a two-story building with three classrooms on each floor. Alterations also included an elevator that serves the basement, first, and second floors. Site improvements included a new maintenance building and dumpster enclosure.
One item of note, our team achieved a no change order submission of non-owner driven change orders for the entire Hanover School District’s expansion / renovation project.
