UPMC’s Child Advocacy Center in Carlisle enlisted CORE Design Group to provide design services for interior fit-out renovations for specialized care and trauma-focused therapy for area families.
CORE designed the facility to provide flexible clinical spaces for providers and a welcoming, safe space for visiting children. Physicians, child abuse pediatricians, and nurse practitioners with expertise in treating and diagnosing child abuse are on staff.
The program included a waiting room; reception area; lab; therapy office; family conference room; interview room designed to allow monitoring; adjacent observation room with enhanced sound insulation; staff lounge; and shared office space.
