The Children’s Aid Society Werner Early Learning Center has been recognized with a 2026 Top Projects Award by the Central Penn Business Journal.
The award highlights outstanding building projects across Central Pennsylvania, with a focus on design quality, coordination, and overall execution.
For CORE, this project represents a purpose-built early learning center delivered through strong collaboration between the owner, design team, and builder.
Designed for Purpose and Performance
The 15,000-SF facility includes age-specific living and play areas, along with enrichment spaces such as an art room, sensory space, family intake suite, multipurpose room, dining commons, and a commercial kitchen. Operational support spaces include shared offices, an IT suite, pantry, and a wellness-focused break room with a shower, ensuring functionality and comfort for both staff and families.
Located in York, PA, the Werner Early Learning Center was designed to support Children’s Aid Society’s mission through a safe, welcoming, and highly functional environment for early childhood education and daycare.
A Collaborative Effort
This project reflects alignment across a committed, experienced team.
CORE Design Group served as architect alongside Children’s Aid Society, Wagman Construction, Keystone Structural Group, Site Design Concepts, Paragon Engineering, and a skilled group of subcontractors. Each partner played a key role in delivering a successful outcome.
We believe the strongest team creates the greatest impact, and both the success of this project and its recognition are a direct result of that collaboration.
