Last week, members of IFMA Central PA had the chance to walk through JURA’s new Hospitality and Service Center, just as the project approaches completion. The building, designed by CORE, reflects the Swiss company’s emphasis on precision, enjoyment, and durability. When finished, it will bring together offices, a showroom, warehouse, service hub, and a customer drive-in area for automated self-service.
For IFMA Central PA, tours like this are about more than looking at a building—they’re about connecting facility managers with real examples of how ideas take shape in the field. The chapter organizes opportunities for members to see sustainable systems, client-driven design decisions, and team collaboration play out in real time. Visiting JURA’s facility during construction provided that window, showing how design intent, engineering, and construction practices are woven together to create an environment ready to meet both operational and user needs.
For our team at CORE, it was encouraging to see this project spark conversation among facility management professionals. It’s a reminder that choices made in design and construction resonate beyond the building itself, influencing how people think about performance, sustainability, and user experience. We’re grateful to IFMA Central PA, Wohlsen Construction, and JURA for opening the doors to this process and for recognizing the value of learning from projects in progress.
