This new facility is a third larger than its aging predecessor on campus. The building will facilitate eight individual lab areas with a dedicated future lab space. Each lab is individually climate controlled and designed to accommodate specialized testing equipment that is instrumental to the Owner’s research and innovation functions.

A large open office on the south side of the building contains 19 private offices, over 40 workstations, three dedicated conference rooms, and a large collaboration area. An employee break room is located on the east side of the building and has access to an exterior patio. The building also contains a tall entrance lobby with product display and three large clearstory openings that create a visual transition between the offices and labs while allowing for natural lighting without the concerns of glare and solar heat gain.

Two stair towers, an elevator shaft, and a concrete roof deck have been provided to allow for a future 20,000 square foot second floor addition to be constructed while the lower floor remains fully occupied. The new building is fully sprinklered, and features unique insulated metal panel and aluminum composite metal panel exterior finishes that seamlessly integrate with the other buildings on campus.
