CORE provided architectural services for the expansion of JLS Automation’s manufacturing headquarters in York, PA with a 50,000-SF addition to their existing approximately 100,000-SF facility. With the addition, throughput opportunities will be increased by approximately 60% for the company. It will also provide JLS more space for integrating large, high-speed, multi-robot systems. Additionally, the expansion will allow for a higher volume of factory acceptance testing (FAT) to be conducted on-site at JLS, including fully integrated systems. The relationship between CORE and JLS has now continued to Phase 2 with the expansion of their office spaces and additional production space. The second phase will consist of a 30,000-SF office and conference center that will include lab and demo space, observation and conference spaces, and an open office to accomodate future growth. This phase is currently in design. As JLS Automation continues to expand, there are plans to add on to the existing building with Phase 3 and 4.
