The Old Post Office building is an adaptive reuse facility consisting of multi-tenant professional offices.
The sandstone, brownstone, Maryland granite, and Indiana limestone building boasts original woodwork and trim with large skylights that invite in ample natural light.
The grand atrium’s tile floor was restored and modified with glass bricks to provide a glowing effect and allow sunlight to reach even a basement office. Today this common area is home to rotating exhibits showcasing regional artists.
The classic building located in Hanover’s Central Business District was originally designed by James Knox Taylor in 1912 and renovated in 2012 by CORE Design Group Principal James Baumgardner, AIA and a local development team.
The project is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
