CORE Design Group provided architectural and structural professional services for the design and documentation of the Stauffers of Kissel Hill Fresh Foods grocery store located in Mount Joy, Pa. The new store replaces the former Darrenkamps grocery store in the Mount Joy Square Shopping Center.

The project included select demolition of existing building features, the replacement of all flooring and ceiling tiles, and limited structural modifications and exterior improvements. Many of the existing walls and bulkheads were able to remain and only needed to be patched and/or repaired. All restrooms received new finishes.

The project was a Design-Build delivery method with GCM as the general contractor. The CORE team also worked closely with Paragon Engineering Services on Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing coordination and Triangle Refrigeration Company on installing all new refrigerated cases, racks, evaporator coils, and condensers.
