CORE Design Group is providing design support for the retail component of this significant mixed-use redevelopment project in Lancaster, PA. New Jersey-based Fernmoor Homes’ vision for the 65-acre project includes refreshed commercial retail space, and 13 four-story buildings housing more than 400 market-rate apartments. A clubhouse and pool are also planned for the residential area.
CORE Design Group’s primary focus is revitalizing the retail area, where existing tenants would be relocated to along Route 30 and the western and eastern edges of the shopping center.
In its 120-tenant heyday, Rockvale was the largest strip outlet mall in the nation. The forward-looking $100M+ plan is the first project in Lancaster County to propose converting commercial retail space to residential.
